Position Summary

This machinist will independently and safely set up and operate precision CNC OD grind equipment.

Essential Functions

· Read and understand process travelers, setup journals, tooling sheets and operation sheets to produce complex finished product.

· Make tooling adjustments and program offsets as necessary.

· Ability to accurately inspect work very close tolerances utilizing various instruments, including air gage, OD indicating gaging, indicators, profilometers, micrometers, height stands and verniers.

· Perform daily TPM responsibilities.

· Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area. Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations. Wear necessary personal protective equipment as required.

· Actively participate in cross-training, cost savings and team activities to improve processes.

· Maintain appropriate tact and diplomacy in dealings with co-workers, team members and supervisors.

Experience and Education

· Minimum of 3 years of aerospace CNC machining experience is required.

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Degree/certificate from vocation school or college program is a plus, but extensive experience may substitute for education.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation

$40000 - $100000 / year

Compensation is paid hourly and may be adjusted based on level of experience, overtime and shift.
