Scope of Job:

Provide support to customers and bank staff which would include Universal Bankers, Business Banking Assistants, and Business Development Officers in the areas of deposit and loans in accordance to the needs and activity levels of the branch. Process customer transactions accurately with the proper customer service standards while assisting loan documentation support to the Lending Staff in the branch with regard to compliance requirements and standardized procedures.


Primary Duties:

Responsible to actively greet each customer personally and by telephone. Handle incoming customer telephone requests for account, product, and service inquiries.

Responsible for the accurate processing of all customer deposit and loan transactions requested through the lobby, drive-up, or telephone. Including but not limited to; deposits, withdrawals, loan payment receipt, cashier check issuance, check cashing, credit card advances, savings bond redemption, check orders, wire transfer and ACH transactions.

Accountable to accurately perform assigned work tasks to support the completion of customer transactions. Including: night deposit and mail processing, ATM servicing and balancing, individual teller drawer balancing.

Responsible to provide customer service, perform account maintenance and problem solve; according to customer need. This includes but is not limited to; stop payments, funds transfer, balance inquiry, address or other information changes, account balancing, debit card and web banking support.

Responsible for the accurate documentation and submission of maintenance requests for all types of loans including but not limited to: Collateral Release, Extensions, Advances and Changes in Terms.

Accountable for the organization, accurate preparation, and scanning of all Personal, Indirect, HELOC, and Small Business loan file documentation on a timely basis. Prepare files for collateral and credit review as required.

Acts on behalf of and in support of Universal Bankers, Business Development Officers or Business Banking Assistants as needed in loan operations and other loan functions at the branch level. This may include typing, drafting letters, filing, checking reports, following up on requested insurance documents, distributing correspondence, assisting with loan documents, the placing of liens or release of liens, and other clerical duties. In addition, will ensure compliant fulfillment of loan documentation requirements.

Work to identify customer needs for additional Bank and Financial Service products; sell and refer Bank, Trust, Brokerage, and Insurance products and services to new and existing customers.

Open new personal and business accounts including; checking, savings, deposit, and IRA/HSA accounts; identify and recommend additional convenience services including web banking and debit cards. Close personal and business accounts as requested.

May serve as Business Banking Assistant by providing loan and customer service support to Agricultural, Business and Construction loan customers, and accountable to provide administrative support to business development officers in the renewal and maintenance of loans.


Secondary Duties:

Work as a team with departmental counterparts on planning and implementing assigned projects and products.

Participate on various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.

Attend, actively participate in organization, job specific training offered, and Quality Service programs.

Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of BankWest organization.

Community involvement is strongly encouraged.

Requirements

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent.


Experience:

2 years' experience in related field.


Knowledge and Special Skills:

Ability to work dependently and/or independently, under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust work schedules as needed to complete job responsibilities.

Ability to organize and handle multiple responsibilities while delivering quality external and/or internal Customer Service.

Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with external and/or internal customers.

Knowledge or ability to learn regulatory requirements pertinent to performance of specified duties in job description.

Knowledge of banking terminology and procedures.

Knowledge of BankWest products and services.

Ability to skillfully use a variety of application software, learn computer programs, and comprehend the program output.

Adhere to Federal Privacy Standards in addition to following BankWest requirements for electronic communication and Social Engineering standards.
