ABOUT THE ROLE

The Hotel Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of a hotel's physical infrastructure, systems, and equipment. This position involves diagnosing and repairing issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring guest rooms and common areas are in excellent condition.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Repairs and Maintenance: Perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting, to ensure that all hotel facilities are in good working order.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, such as power outages, equipment failures, or safety incidents. Diagnose problems and make necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and building systems to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems
  • HVAC Systems: Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure guest rooms and common areas are comfortable and energy-efficient
  • Plumbing and Electrical: Troubleshoot and repair plumbing and electrical issues, including leaks, clogs, faulty wiring, and malfunctioning fixtures. Install and maintain plumbing and electrical systems as needed.
  • Appliance Maintenance: Inspect, repair, and maintain hotel appliances, including refrigerators, microwaves, and laundry equipment.
  • Furniture and Fixtures: Repair or replace furniture, fixtures, and equipment in guest rooms and common areas to maintain their appearance and functionality
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure the hotel's compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental laws.
  • Guest and Staff Safety: Prioritize the safety and security of guests and staff by conducting safety inspections, identifying potential hazards, and taking corrective actions.
  • Supplier and Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for the procurement of maintenance materials, supplies, and services. Ensure cost-effective and efficient purchasing practices.
  • Guest Requests: Respond to guest requests for maintenance or repairs in a prompt and courteous manner, ensuring their comfort
