Seeking a Sushi Apprentice in Mout Kisco, NY.
The Sushi Apprentice would be responsible for the daily preparations for the Sushi Bar as well as play an integral role in the service of restaurant customers.
An ideal candidate would:
Have demonstrable interest in fish butchering, saku, sashimi and nigiri fabrication, and the an ability to produce high quality sushi rolls. Advanced sushi training will be provided to the right candidate assuming their willingness to learn, possess a culinary acumen, novice to expert knife skills and have the desire to learn basic fish butchering and preparation.
Be comfortable working in full view of the dining room and customers as well as playing an active role in the steps of service.
Possess a strong sense of organization and cleanliness as well as a working knowledge of basic food safety protocols.
Be of a team first mindset, eager to collaborate support and elevate themselves and their coworkers.
