Virginia MetalFab is looking for motivated and energetic individuals to fill our newly opened Sales Representative role.


WHO YOU ARE IN THIS ROLE

As a Sales Representative, you will be a part of an AWESOME shop team. Your core mission will be to drive growth through acquiring new business and leads. You'll play a pivotal role in expanding our client base, particularly focusing on inside and outside

sales efforts. Your primary objective is to identify, engage, and convert potential clients into satisfied customers, contributing to the success and expansion of our metal fabrication solutions. This role does not involve quoting or order processing but is instrumental in advancing our presence and partnerships in the industry.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

  • Generate at least 10 new contacts per week to expand our client base.
  • Convert a minimum of 10 contacts into successful sales per month.
  • Act as the point of contact for potential clients, providing information and answering inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager when necessary to support client interactions.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of our product offerings and capabilities.
  • Interact with various internal teams, including engineering, purchasing, operations, and production, to gather information necessary to meet client requirements.
  • Present, promote, and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
  • Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the established schedule.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments.
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales, and status reports.
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
  • Continuously improve through feedback.
  • Periodically prepare and report results, status of accounts, and leads to the manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:


  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience in the metal or fabrication industry is highly beneficial.
  • Customer service, sales, and estimating experience are beneficial for the position.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Typing ability over 50 WPM
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Thorough understanding of technical or scientific products to be sold.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Ability to wear various forms of PPE.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to and including 51-100 lb.
  • Ability to push/pull up to and including 41-100 lb.
  • Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
  • Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
  • Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
