Accountant

Kingston Healthcare is a leading provider of high-quality skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and assisted living services in the Midwest. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our accounting team. Work will be performed in-person at our corporate office located in downtown Toledo, OH. Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger and financial reporting processes for assigned skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.
• Serve as the primary contact for facility staff on accounting/financial related inquiries.
• Prepare accurate and timely internal financial statements.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Prepare facility budgets with the assistance of Company department heads and management.
• Preparation and filing of annual Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial best practices are followed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Infor experience a plus
• Knowledge of Skilled Nursing, Medicare, and Medicaid regulations and cost reporting highly desired
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
