SUMMARY:

As the Quotation Associate you will aid in the development of quotations on various projects based on customer requirements. You will be responsible for answering inquiries, analyzing data, accessing, downloading, and entering accurate pricing data into customer data bases, dealing with issues, and solving problems in a positive manner to ensure a superior level of customer experience. You must be self-motivated, detail oriented, with strong analytic and multi-tasking abilities. Must possess very strong skills in MS Excel.


Job Duties & Essential Functions:

  • Maintain master pricing tracker and database on all company SKU's.
  • Identify approved pricing and production information to enter in database of Bright & various customers systems.
  • Request and track missing data. Follow up as needed.
  • Process workflows in a timely manner and expedite as needed.
  • Process sales reports and analyze data.
  • Perform scrubbing of part numbers for accuracy and activity.
  • Keep quote log of all quote activity.
  • File organization.
  • Accurately review and communicate quote status and details directly to Customer, Management and Account Management Team.
  • Receive RFQ (Request for Quote) based on customer requirements. Assist account managers with completing RFQ related information.
  • Interface with multiple departments such as Account Management/Sales, Production, Planning, Engineering, Product Development, Quality Control and Management to ensure project accuracy and feasibility.
  • Coordinate all required information and prepare quote files in appropriate format to be submitted for management review & approval.
  • Perform time studies to accurately establish labor standards.
  • Review, compare and challenge established labor standards.
  • Production Floor evaluation of production lines and processes is sometimes required.
  • Download data from customer websites, identify and apply correct pricing.
  • Communicate issues/concerns/requirements with customers through these communication vehicles: Calls, Emails, and Chats, and assist all customers in a professional, courteous, reliable, and responsive manner.
  • Process and maintain regular price updates and post-quote analysis.
  • Review and validate change authorizations and notices. Process price updates as needed.
  • Process requests for ancillary charges including rework and upcharge items.
  • Attend meetings/conference calls with clients and other involved departments.
  • Independently manage the accurate completion of projects as needed.
  • Support other Quotation staff and departments as back up on as needed basis.
  • Ability to apply common sense approach to carrying out departmental and company-wide objectives.
  • Ability to set priorities, direct projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must; must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and accuracy in pricing by unit cost and roll up costs; understand rates, ratios, percentages, gross and nets, sales markups, margins and related computations.
  • Ability to understand weights and measures in calculating fill weights in grams, mls and ounces.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

We are seeking an individual with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role with a strong business and customer service background, preferably in a technical or manufacturing environment.


SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Advanced level Excel skills required. Strong knowledge of MS Office products.

Excellent communication, time management, organization and decision-making skills are essential to success.

Strong analytical and data management skills are key.

Must be highly organized and thrive in a fast-paced environment while handling a diverse workload. Work independently as well as in a team environment.

Must be highly observant and resourceful while demonstrating an astute attention to detail and accuracy.

Possess the ability to recognize and maintain the confidentiality of information as appropriate.

Able to create job aids and processes.

Ability to follow procedures/instructions, ask questions and show eagerness and capacity to learn to improve effectiveness.
