SUMMARY:
As a Senior Scrum Master with CC Pace, you will join a seasoned team of CC Pace agilists and play a crucial role in guiding an application development team through agile software development processes. You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring a development team, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. In this role, you will lead agile ceremonies, ensure the adoption of best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful outcomes.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as an Agile Scrum Master for 1-2 agile teams, guiding them in agile frameworks and practices.
  • Coach and mentor teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders in agile methodologies, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Lead teams through sprint zero discovery and initial product backlog development for successful project launches.
  • Organize, schedule, and facilitate all scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Monitor and communicate essential metrics like team velocity and sprint/release progress to stakeholders and management.
  • Ensure effective utilization of agile tracking systems, such as Jira, to track and manage team activities.
  • Coach individual team members, facilitate conflict resolution, and promote collaborative problem-solving.
  • Identify and mitigate external team dependencies to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Proactively remove obstacles that could hinder team delivery and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Create a collaborative environment encouraging creativity, innovation, and effective teamwork.
  • Assess team and organizational agile maturity and implement appropriate agile practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrated success in a Scrum Master or Coach role for at least 5 years.
  • Proficiency in standard Agile practices (Scrum and Kanban).
  • Experience with Scaling frameworks like SAFe, LeSS, Nexus, and Scrum@Scale is beneficial.
  • Some experience working in a coaching capacity and delivering training sessions.
  • Strong cross-functional business acumen with attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
  • A high degree of self-motivation, independence, and teamwork.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization, build consensus, and lead workstreams.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Familiarity with Agile Delivery Tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Monday.com, Trello.
