Position Overview

The Proposal Writer & Content Library Manager will work in tandem with the current proposal manager to support the Business Development/Sales Team in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). They will be responsible for producing engaging, accurate, and substantive content. They will ensure the final product is of the highest quality and submitted on time to ensure the maximum chance of success.  They will be responsible for the consistent upkeep of the company’s Knowledge Library – a database of company-centric information that supports proposal and RFP response efforts.

Job Responsibilities
  • Share and execute all responsibilities of this position along with the current Proposal Manager.
  • Coordinate needs for each project to include reviewing and analyzing the solicitation, scheduling, coordinating efforts with stakeholders, responding to questionnaires, drafting narratives, and preparing proposal for final submission within established deadlines.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Global Guardian’s service offerings, SMEs, competitors, and differentials in the market.  
  • Customize responses to reflect a clear understanding of the requirement and the prospect organization.
  • Understand the distinct difference between substantive content writing and advertising/promotional copy.
  • Work with our SMEs, Marketing Team, IT dept. and other stakeholders as it relates to proposal development.
  • Develop and maintain RFP and Knowledge Library processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge Library Management: requires mastery of the platform and feature updates; capture, create, update, and maintain content for accuracy, clarity, and brevity; training new employees on the platform.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a Content Writer responding primarily to commercial RFPs and possessing familiarity with government RFPs as well.
  • Demonstration of excellent written and verbal communication skills*.
  • Excellent time management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Experience with knowledge library platforms such as RFP360 or RFPIO preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
*Applicants to provide two writing examples and complete a writing exercise.

Reports to
