Job Description
DLL Landscaping & Tree Service is a solutions-based company delivering comprehensive commercial landscaping, grounds maintenance, total tree care services, and snow and ice management throughout Central Ohio.

The position of Mowing Production Manager is an essential part of the operation of DLL.While this position is considered a leadership position, it also requires hands-on work and is a customer service position because of interactions with our customers.

The Mowing Production Manager reports to the Director of Field Operations.

Requirements
Education

A high school diploma or GED is a minimum requirement.
Certifications
A valid Ohio Drivers License and be insurable by DLLs vehicle insurance provider.
Experience
Three plus years of experience in all aspects of landscaping/mowing
Prior leadership and management experience is a plus
Bilingual skills a plus
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and/or walk long distances and work continuously for up to 2 hours at
one time to complete tasks, assist customers and other employees
Ability to work in severe temperatures for extended periods of time
Ability to lift moderate to heavy objects up to 50 pounds unassisted
Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, grasp, and perform repetitive motions
Hearing and speaking to exchange information
Dexterity of hands to perform the tasks required of the position
Sight in order to be aware of hazards and dangers found in the nature of the work.
Working Conditions
The working conditions for this position can be noisy. The successful employee must be able to function with noise interruptions and conditions that are not like a standard office job
The employee will be expected to experience hot and humid conditions as well as cold conditions while on customer sites in all weather conditions. Because this is an all-weather job, the employee must be able to function and tolerate the changing of
the seasons
The Mowing Production Manager is expected to drive to customer sites as needed
Willingness to work a varied schedule to ensure customer satisfaction/job completion including evenings, weekends, holidays and longer shifts

Qualifications

The Mowing Production Manager must give clear direction to employees
They must provide concise and detailed feedback to the Director of Field Operations
The Mowing Production Manager must be willing to take constructive criticism to improve their personal and professional development
The employee must seek out additional training opportunities to improve their skill set and learn additional skills
Ability to follow customer-specific directions and communicate those directions accurately to their assigned personnel
Desire and ability to train personnel related to tasks required, proper equipment use, safety protocol, company, and customer expectations
The Mowing Production Manager must motivate, encourage, train and mentor their Crew members
Ability to operate a skid, trucks, trailers, and other power equipment

Duties and Tasks
They will manage all aspects of the Mowing Crews, including:
o Schedule Mowing Work Crews to maximize productivity and company profitability
o Be responsible for the productivity of each team member
o Give job-specific directions to their team and follow-up to ensure all jobs are completed to company standards and customer expectations
o Teach, manage, direct and mentor each member assigned to their crew. Give quality and timely feedback on work performed
o Train Crew on proper use of all company equipment. This includes safe usage as well as methods to reduce wear and tear and thus avoid unnecessary maintenance and repairs
o Training and certification of new hires and experienced Crew members
o Execute company disciplinary program in a fair and timely manner
o Conduct Annual Performance Reviews for all crew members
o Answer questions of the Crew regarding any work being done
o Communicate workload changes to Crew to ensure productivity on all shifts
o Conduct site inspections daily to ensure proper job completion and customer satisfaction
Commit daily work habits to ensure a safe working environment for self and their crew
Complete Daily Truck Safety Inspection and ensure employee safety gear is available in vehicle prior to leaving the shop for customer work sites.
Understand and commit to DLLs pledge to provide quality work the first time to all customers
Own and respond to all customer concerns/issues in a timely and satisfactory manner
Leader whose self-control is equal to all emergencies
Be responsible for the productivity of each team member
Plan and prepare for routing, staffing and materials for snow removal
Maintain proper inventory levels of salt, sand and magnesium for treating properties
Provide proper training for snow removal techniques of plows, spreaders backhoes and walk behinds for unskilled staff
Ensure adherence to Company Vehicle/Equipment Maintenance Program
Ensure all team members record time andaudit punches daily
Approve time off requests keeping business needs top of mind

Requirements

Hold Crew accountable for wearing company designated attire during all shifts
