Job Title: Systems and Support Technician I

Reports To: Manager, Systems Operations
Manager, Technical Support

Function:

Under the IT Systems Operations function, the Systems and Support Technician I is responsible for installing, configuring, administering, and supporting computing and network hardware, software, and related resources including servers, routers, firewalls, wireless networking components, and other necessary for connectivity to local network, wide area network, and cloud environments; assist in implementation and administration of data backup, database administration, and other cybersecurity measures; work with third party vendors on connectivity to and with internal systems.

Under the IT Technical Support function, the Systems and Support Technician I is responsible for installing, configuring, administering, and supporting user computers, peripherals, applications, and related resources; provide technical user support and on-call coverage including after-hours rotating with other team members; help support and administer Microsoft 365 accounts, groups, and other on behalf of users; create and provide communications and training both remotely and in-person at company facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• New hardware installation of workstations, servers, printer, and any other hardware necessary for connectivity and computing use

• Support internal servers, local area network security, and related

• Daily travel in personal vehicle from home to feedyard locations to support hardware and networking equipment, computers and peripherals, and other user needs; occasional longer-distance travel to corporate other feedyards and corporate office.

• Maintain wired and wireless networks at each facility

• Schedule and carry out preventative maintenance tasks

• Ability to communicate with end-users to ensure customer needs are met

• Develop and maintain technical knowledge by researching technologies, attending training, and learning from other team members

• If/when provided, maintain assigned company vehicle including regular preventative maintenance and cleanliness

Qualifications:

• Ability to analyze and solve problems and communicate well regarding

• Strong aptitude, passion, and drive for IT and serving others

• Ability to work independently and remotely

• Ability to frequently travel to and work at cattle field facilities

• Ability to work well within a team and multi-task as required

• Valid driver’s license

• Desire to pursue relevant IT education and certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, and other technologies

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Area/Location of Responsibility:

Five Rivers Cattle Feeding, LLC owns cattle feedyards in Colorado, Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Idaho and Arizona. The hired candidate will support all feedyards and the corporate office location, but primary site responsibilities will be determined based on location of the candidate.

Physical Demands:

Work in office and feedyard setting. Frequent travel is required. Sitting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching at all levels, grasping, lifting, carrying, climbing and other demands may be necessary per scope of work.
