TITLE: Marketing Manager CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Marketing POSITION REPORT TO: Senior Director, Marketing


SUMMARY: The Marketing team at Cuisine Solutions seeks a full-time Marketing Manager with excellent organizational and project-management skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the drive to help steer the company's success. The role's key area of responsibility includes coordinating the department's inter- and intra-departmental tasks and projects. This vital role acts as a linchpin between Marketing and Sales and interfaces with other internal departments including Sales Support, Culinary, R&D, and QA, as well as agency partners.

The role requires an all-around marketing "doer" capable of conceiving, drafting, and managing marketing deliverables.

The ideal candidate is highly organized and proactive, skilled at managing competing priorities, capable of being collaborative while setting firm boundaries, and committed to creating work of high quality. Frequent writing and editing is expected in the role.

This role is not remote; candidates must work from the Sterling, VA headquarters 2-3 days per week. Occasional travel is required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: BA in Marketing, Communications, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience:

  • 5-7 years professional experience, ideally in both marketing/communications and/or departmental project management, ideally in a corporate setting;
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills to face the daily challenges faced by a rapidly growing company;
  • Keen interpersonal skills and both oral and written communication skills;
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) a plus;
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment a plus;
  • Ability to work independently, on a team, and with other departments


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • With Senior Director, develop Sales channel-specific marketing plans; coordinate execution internally and with agency partners; draft on-brand written materials as needed
  • Draft on-brand copy for marketing collateral and packaging; edit copy for grammar and style.
  • Serve as department's project manager for key projects, tracking team tasks, timelines, and review rounds.
  • Develop and manage Marketing department timelines and processes within company-wide "product lifecycle"; work both inter- and intra-departmentally to refine as needed
  • Manage Marketing Request Form submissions: assess submissions for clarity, communicate with requestors, task internal team as appropriate; lead weekly team standup.
  • Maintain Marketing Knowledge Base (intranet folder of images, presentation templates, and other tools that available to internal departments)
  • Educate departments on how to work with Marketing department processes and timelines; author written memos or decks for interdepartmental, internal communication.
  • Provide on- and off-site support to Special Events Coordinator for tradeshows and corporate events.
  • Other duties, as assigned by Senior Director
