Job Description

One of our clients is looking for Registered Nurses to join their INFUSION Nurses team. The Infusion Nurse will be responsible in assisting physicians while providing treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions. He/she will administer medication, monitor, and record patient progress, and educate families and the patient as needed. 

The ideal candidate will perform Peripheral IV starts/maintenance & IV Infusion Therapy Injection and self-infusion training Phlebotomy for adult and pediatric patients CVAD experience & knowledge Advanced Nursing Certifications.

 

Responsibilities: 

Provide exceptional patient care – Maintain nursing standards while supporting patients with all applicable medical needs. Create and provide patient care plans as needed or requested. Communicate with the patient, their family, and members of the medical team to achieve the desired goals of the patient-care plan.  

Conduct administrative duties – Attend medical conferences and courses for ongoing care and education. Assess patient care plans and identify areas of improvement to ensure quality of care.  

The home infusion nurse coordinates and performs infusion nursing care for patients in the home setting; administers skilled nursing care; participates in teaching patients and caregivers home medical management; provides leadership by working cooperatively to establish priorities and goals of patient care.

Each nurse should have tools necessary for a nursing visit, including blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, and thermometer.

 

Qualifications: 

  • - Excellent IV skills with at least 1-2 years I/V Infusion experience - REQUIRED
  • - Hospital ER, OR (Pre/Post Op) experience 
  • - Knowledgeable in conducting drug calculations & reconstituting medications  
  • - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • - Current, unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse.
  • - BLS/CPR certification through AHA - REQUIRED. 
  • - Familiar with EMR system
  • - Ability to multi-task. 
  • - Excellent customer service skills
