We are in search of a Superintendent to join our team in MD. The Superintendent will be responsible for supervising all aspects of a construction project, overseeing its various phases. This role entails leading and managing the on-site construction team, ensuring efficient operations. The Superintendent will maintain orderliness on the jobsite and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Additionally, they will uphold quality standards, guarantee timely availability of equipment and materials, and oversee adherence to the project timeline. Liaising with inspection authorities for approvals and resolving conflicts are also key responsibilities of this position.

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop a schedule and cost-effective plan to ensure timely project completion.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create preconstruction estimates and budgets for materials and labor.
  • Coordinate and schedule the activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, providing instructions through project forepersons as needed.
  • Regularly inspect work for quality and timeliness, preparing progress reports and recommending modifications as necessary.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, inspection agencies, owner representatives, and other stakeholders to meet project objectives and owner expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to contract documents, code requirements, and obtain all necessary permits.
  • Lead quality control and assurance efforts, including completing and ensuring subcontractors complete daily reports.
  • Plan site logistics and conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings, ensuring accuracy of the 4-week look-ahead schedule.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of combined experience as an Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent.
  • OSHA 30 Hour Certified.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Bluebeam, and familiarity with Primavera (P6) or MS Project Scheduling Software.
  • Flexibility to travel and work at various locations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse, multi-disciplinary groups.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Laboratory, MEP, and Commercial projects is advantageous.
