Job Summary:

Provides high-level technical support and expertise associated with continuous monitoring and management of corporate voice and data networks. Performs network configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting of outages and performance degradation, tuning and optimization, maintenance and coordination of technical support with IT service groups and external service providers.


Job Responsibilities

  • Network Engineer is responsible for the implementation, support, maintenance and management IT infrastructure
  • Network Engineer performs device configurations, internal operating system upgrades, and software upgrades and deploys network devices including (but not limited to) physical servers, virtualized servers, hosts, routers, switches, and storage.
  • Network Engineer assists with troubleshooting circuit equipment routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, and all other VoIP and network issues.
  • Network Engineer maintains overall responsibility for the general support of the firm’s network technologies including Windows Servers, SAN Storage, Virtual Server infrastructure, Firewalls, Routers, and Switches


Requirements

  • Network Engineer must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/MIS or equivalent certification from an accredited technical training school or equivalent (4 years) experience in general MIS/computer support.
  • Network Engineer must have 8 years of experience in network and systems support and installation, including server hardware, network operating systems software, switches, routers, and firewalls
