Our mission is to inspire creativity and foster a welcoming community of crafters. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our team and contribute to the success of our unique retail space.

Position Overview: As the Store Manager, you will be the driving force behind The Yarn Barn's day-to-day operations. You'll be responsible for creating a positive shopping experience for our customers, managing a dedicated team, and ensuring the overall success and growth of the store.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of store operations, including staff management, inventory control, and customer service.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of sales associates, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure the store is well-maintained, visually appealing, and fully stocked with a diverse range of quality yarns and related merchandise.
  • Implement effective merchandising strategies to showcase products and attract customers.
  • Manage and optimize online sales, coordinating with the online sales team to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Develop and execute marketing initiatives to drive foot traffic, enhance brand visibility, and engage with the local crafting community.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, identify trends, and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
  • Handle customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to maintain strong relationships and negotiate favorable terms.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in retail management, preferably in a similar niche such as crafting, textiles, or hobbyist retail.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and passion for yarn and related crafts is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in sales and achieving revenue targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.
