POSITION SUMMARY: Regional Health is looking for RN's to join our OB department! Nurses in the OB will use critical thinking skills and provide care to women throughout labor and delivery - pain management, fetal monitoring, and coaching. The RN also cares for and provides education to mother/baby postpartum. Knowledge and competency in the care of antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and newborns is expected. The RN must be able to adapt to stressful situations, work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, and have excellent communication skills.
*This position is Modified Full Time, 72 hours every 2 weeks*
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS FOR RN ADVANCE:
- Registered nursing degree from a nursing school.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa.
- BLS (CPR) required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
- ACLS, PALS, NRP Certified within 1 year.
- For specialization of Obstetrics-Certified EFM within 1 year of completion of OB orientation.
