Our experience is second to none; and over the years we have worked with thousands of customers, from local residents with a few pounds of cans to large companies with truckloads of scrap material.
Job Description:
- Sort and screen scrap metal, separating unsuitable materials from stock using material handlers (forklifts, skid-loaders, etc.).
- Help operate production equipment to crush, bale, package, and prepare material for shipping.
- Provide consistent flow into the production equipment with the use of heavy equipment while maintaining an organized clean work area.
- Must be detailed orientated, organized, friendly, outgoing, and be self-motivated individual.
- Individual must be able to perform duties with little supervision.
- Requires basic mechanical skills and equipment operating experience.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year experience operating equipment (preferably a ski-loader, forklift, and/or production machinery) in a fast-paced environment.
- Position requires problem solving skills and stellar organizational skills.
- Safety-First mindset.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to exert frequently up to 40 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
