Transportation, Port & Airfield Specialist
This is a hybrid-remote position.

Provides port, rail, air and munitions subject matter expertise to the MAA and MA Program Office.

In this role you will….
  • Participate in the pre-assessment coordination, MAA onsite, report development and Mission Assurance protection program related request for information.
  • Must have familiarity with Mission Assurance/airfield, port, rail and munitions applicable policy, standards, and benchmarks.
  • Maintain applicable security clearance requirement.
  • Provide technical support to the Mission Assurance program.
  • Provide logistical and operational execution support that evaluates and assesses assets and infrastructure to execute tactical to strategic aviation, ground and maritime mission movement capabilities.
  • Provide technical support to identify critical capabilities, infrastructure, supporting equipment, manpower, qualifications, safety programs, and security procedures enabling the movement of personnel, cargo, and mission essential equipment.
  • Evaluate, assess and document ports, airfields, rail, road, and bridge deficiencies and shortfalls with associated TCAs and supporting infrastructure that impact service-level to strategic missions. 
  • Provide trend and impact analyses of threats that may affect tactical to strategic aviation, ground and maritime mission movement capabilities. The analyses should include the methodologies used to determine the probability of each event.
  • Provide recommendations for improving the protection functions on tactical to strategic aviation, ground and maritime mission movement capabilities for military installations and projection platforms.
  • Analyze and evaluate risk assessment processes and provide recommendations for improvement of tactical to strategic aviation, ground and maritime mission movement capability gaps.
  • Draft briefs for internal and external use on tactical to strategic aviation, ground and maritime mission movement capability topics.
  • Develop schedules, reports, plan of action and milestones
Experience Requirements:
  • Five (5) years or more of DoD experience in Transportation, Port and Airfield operations and mission planning, active duty, civilian or contractor
  • Five (5) years or more desired experience executing higher headquarters MA program reviews and installation level MA assessments
  • Bachelor Degree: Business, Operations, Political Science, Security, Security Studies, Technical
  • CAMS Training or equivalent Asset and Risk Management Program Experience
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Active SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS SCI level clearance.

Other Requirements:
  • Requires travel minimum 50% of the time
  • May be required to move equipment/files weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Reports to a physical location which occasionally requires the ability to traverse between buildings
  • Ability to manage stress with a high degree of maturity/professionalism
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and leadership skills and the ability to work well with others
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

This position is contingent on funding.
