GovFirst is actively seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master to join our clients team in Herndon VA.The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing Scrum Master Support services, as well as Dashboard and Metric support to development teams and business partners associated with our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of Agile principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Serve as a Scrum Master for multiple Scrum Teams, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful implementation of Agile methodologies.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, to ensure effective collaboration and communication within the team.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and business partners to define and prioritize product backlogs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to Scrum Teams and stakeholders on Agile principles, practices, and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to drive continuous improvement and maturity across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain Agile Dashboards and Metrics to track team performance, progress, and health.
  • Ensure that all teams within the organization are working in alignment with the established Agile Maturity Model and best practices.




Requirements
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience serving as a Scrum Master for Agile development teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles, practices, and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members, stakeholders, and business partners.
  • Experience with Agile tools and techniques, such as Jira, Confluence, and Agile Dashboards.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
