SALARY

$65,000 - $75,000

POSITION SUMMARY

Under general supervision, performs specialized enterprise asset management (EAM) Desktop and Mobile application support used by the CTA Infrastructure group. Assists as first level support for end-user issues, reporting needs, troubleshooting, and implementation of system upgrades. Assists in all aspects of EAM application development and implementation projects.

Qualifications

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists in front line support for EAM end-user issues. Monitors EAM entries to verify input is correctly entered by users. Performs data review and reports on data irregularities.
  • Works with internal and external resources to continue to develop and implement the EAM system enterprise wide.
  • Develops and runs reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools. Assists in the development of standard reports for ongoing business area needs.
  • Assists in Quality Assurance, Controls, and Improvement by consulting with end-user groups to identify issues, develop standards and reviewing processes.
  • Maintains system change log documentation. Drafts EAM Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Bulletins.
  • Develops and delivers written and in-person comprehensive training on EAM application utilization to various users within Authority.
  • Trains, develops, monitors, and evaluates performance of EAM end-users.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field, plus two (2) years of EAM experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience related to the position.
  • SQL or other computer language experience preferred.
  • Experience with Infor EAM or other EAM system utilizing a relational database system required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time and constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • Service Area Requirement: Exempt (Non-Union) employees must live within the boundaries of the CTA Statutory Service Area either at the time of employment or within 6 months of beginning employment at CTA.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Working knowledge of the principles and practices of business user applications.
  • Working knowledge of the principles and practices in system development.
  • Working knowledge of principles and practices in SQL.
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and EAM systems.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to evaluate user needs and formulate sound conclusions.
  • Ability to evaluate business needs and identify solutions.
  • Ability to verify data and evaluate new computer applications and programs.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve inquiries.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • General office environment.
  • May be required to travel to various site locations.
  • May be required to work various extended or irregular hours in order to meet project deadlines or respond to CTA emergencies.
  • Must be available to respond to calls or email inquiries outside of regular work hours.

EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, AND MATERIALS UTILIZED

  • Standard office equipment.
  • Personal computer and common software in the Microsoft Office suite family, and other applications required by the department.

Final salary will be determined in part by the qualifications of the selected candidate and may be higher or lower than target.
