Description

The Opportunity

The Senior Accounting Manager leads an expanding team in a fast paced, rapidly growing organization. This individual is responsible for development and maintenance of financial processes and procedures, manages and coordinates the preparation of various financial analyses and information to senior leadership and business unit and department heads, oversees the daily activities of the Accounting team, supervises and mentors less experienced accountants, and assists in building an engaging team environment.

What You'll Do

  • Upholds the Purpose, Vision and Core Values of Ulteig.
  • Leads and directs the work of others. Exercises consistent responsibility for management and supervisory functions, including but not limited to: interviewing, training employees, managing team hours and workload, directing work and work activities, evaluating and managing employee performance, and handling employee complaints or issues.
  • Mentors and develops accounting team members and supports continuous professional development and growth.
  • Establishes and maintains systems and controls to verify the integrity of company systems, processes, and data.
  • Ensures the company's use of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Provides training and mentoring to finance and non-finance employees on financial systems, processes, and reports.
  • Creates, analyzes, and prepares accurate and timely financial reporting and analyses to assist leadership in making educated financial/economic decisions.
  • Reviews company Financial Statements, financial reporting and workpapers for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Manages daily financial processes and coordinates month-end and year-end financial reporting processes.
  • Analyzes financial data to summarize information for Board of Director's materials and CXO scorecards.
  • Works closely with the senior leadership team to formulate and model annual, medium and long-term financial plans.
  • Works with senior leadership, business unit and department heads on interpreting and understanding monthly, quarterly and annual financial KPIs and operational/financial metrics.
  • Interacts with external parties to provide accurate financial information and to resolve conflicts.
  • Works with confidential data, which if disclosed, might have significant internal or external effect.
  • Handles confidential information professionally.
  • Consistently exercises discretion and judgment as related to the performance of the duties and responsibilities.
  • Evaluates courses of action and makes sound decisions in the best interest of the company.
  • Follows company policies, systems, and processes to support the needs of Ulteig.
  • Works collaboratively with individuals at all levels in the organization in a team environment.
  • Provides excellent client service and communicates with internal and external clients to ensure needs are met.
  • Develops and implements accounting best practices in processes, policies, and procedures to ensure proper internal controls, efficiency, and excellent client experience.
  • Oversees and participates in the annual Financial Statement, IDCR, ESOP and 401K Audits.
  • Participates in team development activities.
  • Participates in community and professional development activities.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What We Expect from You

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and 10 years of related work experience required.
  • Seven years of leadership experience required.
  • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant required.
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Experience with MS Dynamics365 preferred.
  • Strong quantitative abilities and aptitude to solve complex problems.
  • Advanced computer software skills, expertise in Excel and other accounting/finance systems.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle confidential matters related to daily business operations.
  • Must have effective leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Strong organizational/follow-up skills and attention to detail.
  • Must possess well-rounded knowledge of commonly used accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal/written communications, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to be organized, work on multiple projects simultaneously, and meets deadlines by setting priorities.
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced, and rapidly growing organization.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and U.S Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the US.

Additional Opportunity Details:
Compensation Range is Generally +/- 15% of Position Mid-Point of $147,500*
