Position Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence Intern to join our team for summer 2024. This role is ideal for a candidate passionate about data engineering, software development lifecycle processes, and eager to contribute to our DevOps initiatives. The intern will also be able to engage with generative AI projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and maintenance of our data warehouse and business intelligence solutions, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Contribute to the implementation of DevOps practices within our Microsoft environment, focusing on automation, continuous integration (CI), and continuous deployment (CD) processes.
• Participate in the design and deployment of cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure services, enhancing our data analytics and business intelligence capabilities.
• Conduct market and academic research related to Generative AI and Large Language Model technology. Explore paradigms including but not limited to Retrieval Augmented Generation. Share insights with IT team and other business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that align with business objectives.
• Engage in code reviews, documentation, and best practices to ensure high-quality and maintainable code.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in DevOps, data warehousing, business intelligence, and generative AI, sharing insights with the team.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics and Computer science or a related field
• Exposure to ETL and data warehousing, database technology and database administration
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies, including Azure, SQL Server, and Power BI (Business Intelligence), is highly desirable
• Basic understanding of DevOps principles and practices, as well as experience with tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Git
• Interest or experience in generative AI technologies and machine learning models is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
