Job Description
  • Performs the tugger route efficiently, accurately and reliably.
  • Stocks and allocates assembly and kanban jobs.
  • Strictly manages the kanban cards and ensures the accuracy of the replenishment system.
  • Interactes with Consumables / Supermarkert attendant as material is received and alloates bins where necessary.
  • Replenishes empty line stock signals and kits low volume components as required.
  • Assists with troubleshooting material flow and information flow problems.
  • Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by wearing the proper safety equipment and following procedures.
  • Proactively identifies and takes corrective action or eliminates unsafe behaviors and conditions.
  • Keeps work areas clean and organized for self and others daily.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 1-2 related product support experience
  • Direct industry related experience in assembly/test in a high technology manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Aerospace products desired.
  • Able to work independently with limited supervisory guidance.
  • Prior knowledge of components and flow of material.
  • Able to adapt to procedures, techniques, and/or processes to meet special needs on varied assignments.
  • Able to implement and effectively apply lean initiatives.
  • Possess effective interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a high performing team environment.
  • Able to interpret reports and use standard business software applications. Able to use employee self-service system to access on-line information and use specialized automated systems (i.e.TORS, e-mail).
  • Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.

TYPICAL MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time. The team member is required to demonstrate manual dexterity and use hands to assemble parts and use test equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Also expected of the team member is regular attendance, the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others. Job involves frequent lifting and may be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
