Permit Coordinator Summary:

Assist department staff with various tasks involving plan check and permits processing and other related duties as directed by department associates.



Responsibilities

  • Responsible for completing permit applications
  • Responsible for plan check set packaging and submittal
  • Responsible for permit application delivery to all municipalities and pick up when ready
  • Responsible for coordination and delivery of plan checks with all applicable consultants
  • Responsible for permit delivery to applicable project superintendents
  • Liaison to cities, counties, public works, Fire Department, Water Department and other municipalities
  • Create check requests, populate building, solar, fire, water meter and other applications as required
  • Liaison to schools districts - Create check requests, calculate school fees and pay school letters
  • Responsible for tracking plan check status and updating plan check status matrix
  • Perform all other duties as required


Qualifications

  • Three (3) years in homebuilding related experience is a plus
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Microsoft Excel and Project experience preferred
  • Ability to multi-task while meeting various deadlines
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required
  • Follow directions from a supervisor
  • Understand and follow work rules and procedures
  • Accept constructive feedback
  • Team player

Physical Requirements:

This is a primarily sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office supplies and materials weighing at least 25 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate computer keyboard, calculator, and telephone equipment. May operate a motor vehicle.
