Fairfax County's Wastewater Collection Division (WCD) is recruiting a highly motivated wastewater Engineer to fill a vacant Engineer III position within its Capital Improvement Program (CIP). WCD manages and operates Fairfax County's wastewater collection system, consisting of nearly 3,400 miles of pipe, over 100,000 associated structures, 57 metering sites, and 63 pumping stations.

Under the General Supervision of the CIP Lead:

  • Responsible for engineering planning, developing, and implementing wastewater collection capital projects.

  • In the event of emergency failures, may participate and/or lead efforts to identify a solution for the failure.
