About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a SAP Hybris Business Analyst to assist our west coast based retail client. This position is a 6+ month contract, fully remote, and requires availability from 9 AM to 5:30 PM PST hours. The ideal candidate should possess experience in web based projects and SAP Hybris.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Responsible for supporting America's web sites by providing business systems analysis support for eCommerce and other web based applications.
  • The candidate will be responsible for day-day production support, maintenance activities and new development for the client's North and Latin American e-commerce systems operating on a SAP Hybris platform under Linux.
  • The successful candidate must have excellent written and communication skills and demonstrated senior-level systems analysis experience along with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Candidate must be able to work well independently as well as interacting with end users, project leads and the technical development team to provide business functional requirements, solution recommendations, assist in development scoping (e.g. level-of-effort analysis).
  • Candidate also provides quality assurance support and assists business with user acceptance test planning and execution to ensure that projects are delivered to meet quality standards and within published schedules.
  • The candidate must be organized, detail oriented, possess the ability to prioritize workload, handle concurrent responsibilities and project tasks, and work individually and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • This is a fast-paced, multiple project environment; the qualified candidate must be able to balance multiple projects and tasks, manage to project deadlines and effectively and appropriately escalate and follow-up on issues and assignments.
  • The successful candidate must be a demonstrated self-starter with an aptitude for learning and a desire to take on new responsibilities and challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet project objectives within specified cost and time frame parameters and according to defined requirements.
  • Contributes to ongoing communication within IS and with business operations (e.g., user review meetings for milestone sign-off, obtaining user feedback, reporting on project status).
  • Collaborates with key customers including business users, corporate and IS management, and vendors.
  • Assists in day-to-day maintenance of production software systems.
  • Responsible for gathering and organizing of business/user requirements and feasibility analysis for business requested enhancements
  • Creates functional requirements, specifications and user documentation
  • Participates in performing application design and review
  • Participates in system test planning and execution including quality assurance and user acceptance test planning and execution
  • Coordinating and assisting in creation of user acceptance test plans and execution.
  • Participates in development of implementation schedules, system implementation planning and execution
  • Coordinating and assisting in creation of user training sessions and associated documentation.
  • Actively evaluates and resolves daily business problems by performing independent analysis
  • Participates in on-call rotation supporting production systems and user trouble reports
  • Participates in production deployment planning, execution and validation
  • Communicates task status/issues to IS management and project leaders
  • Participates in research and evaluation of appropriate software products being considered for acquisition
  • Participates in planning and execution of Disaster Recovery testing.
  • Leverage years of experience in supporting web sites to provide leadership and guidance on establishing best practices
Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a business analyst working with Web based projects (eCommerce preferred) and 3 years hands on Functional experience with SAP hybris

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in process creation and improvement
  • Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting business requirements, participating in quality assurance and user acceptance testing
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Quick learner, self starter, with a proactive attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple project assignments and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines
  • Solid understanding of eCommerce and hybris business practices and processes required to support a multi-language/global web site.
