FASTnet Customer Service Representative

- ***Objectives***

- To foster and maintain positive relations with our members and the public through accurate, friendly, and courteous service on a day-to-day basis.

- To effectively market and sell member internet services and programs, consult with consumers regarding internet packages, company policies and procedures, billing, or joint problems as they arise.

- Performs Personally the Following Activities Unique to This Position:

- Initiate and nurture strong relationships with FASTnet customers, promoting a continued favorable business relationship.

- Communicate technical information to business customers, commerce, community, and trade association groups.

- Market new products and services consistent with FASTnet for strategic growth and business development.

- Will receive and process payments from customers.

- Will work with all departments to resolve inquiries/field investigations or customer contacts, including but not limited to billing concerns, equipment-related issues, quality of service, and television or telephone-related issues.

***Competencies*** ***Education*** *:* High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have participated in specialized workshops/training relating to problem-solving techniques and consumer relations. ***Experience*** *:* Work experience should include taking payments, public contact, computer terminal operation, and other types of office machines. Past work history/experience in the telecom industry preferred. ***Knowledge*** *:* Thorough knowledge of Association by-laws, policies, and procedures are required. Knowledge of bookkeeping, public relations, basic knowledge of computer terminal. Must have a thorough understanding of FASTnet services and marketing programs offered. ***& Skills*** *:* Ability to operate all office machines and perform duties of Cashier effectively. Must collaborate well with consumers and demonstrate practical critical thinking skills. Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to high employee morale. Basic bookkeeping skills and the ability to use sound judgment in troubleshooting customer accounts are required. Must be able to perform tedious visual tasks for extended periods. ***Conditions*** *:* Usual office conditions.
