We are in search of a Maintenance Engineer who will report to our Reliability Team Lead in our Lake Charles plant. This person will be accountable for providing maintenance support to ensure the achievement of production goals.
- Manages shutdown planning & execution, small projects and update equipment lists, assignments and documents in SAP, DMS, etc
- Trains & improves maintenance management processes & SOPs
- Identifies and scopes potential reliability improvement projects and coordinates external support for maintenance troubleshooting
- Develops and manages equipment maintenance plans, updates PM, PdM, and CBM routines and Maintenance & Operations Training for New Equipment
- Performs Equipment Availability/Failure Analysis
- Writes and edits SOP/work instructions
- Conduct Management of Change (MOCs), Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs) including GMP and PSSR, Commissioning and Startup Activities, daily plant inspections and walkthroughs and OIRs and incident investigations
- Supports Purchasing/GRs/New Vendors/Req's
- Redlines Engineering Drawings and Documents
- Manages and catalogs engineering documents and drawings and process information and updates for P&ID, MOC, Interlock Sched, etc.
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or another engineering discipline;In lieu of degree, 10+ years of maintenance and reliability leadership and troubleshooting experience
- 3+ years engineering experience in a petro-chemical manufacturing plant
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft.
- Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator.
- Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a pilot plant facility with highly hazardous materials
- Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a laboratory environment with highly hazardous materials
