Summer Camp Food Service Manager

Summer Camp Food Service Manager Salary: $12/hour

Summer Camp Food Service Manager Hours: Monday - Friday through the summer, no nights or weekends! (Seasonal)

Summer Camp Food Service Manager Responsibilities:

• Under the direction of the Director, maintain standards of cleanliness in kitchen
• Prepare and distribute morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack on a daily basis
• Clean kitchen and dishes by the end of each shift
• Maintain menu and grocery shop for menu on a weekly basis.
• Remove garbage from kitchen and classrooms on a daily basis.
• Organize and clean refrigerator and freezer
• Store milk in refrigerator upon delivery
• Keep daily/weekly count of milk used by each classroom.

Summer Camp Food Service Manager Qualifications:

• At least one year of work experience as a cook preferred
• Possess or obtain current food service certification
• Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
• Knowledge of the rules/guidelines related to kitchen rules/safety
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
• Desire and ability to work with children
• Ability to work in a team
• Very good communication skills
• Excellent physical condition and stamina
• Track record of building relationships with staff, volunteers, and parents.
• Annual CACFP Training
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
