Detention Officer – Des Arc, AR

$15.00/Hr.

12-hour shift

Duties

  • Book and release inmates, fingerprint inmates, monitor inmates, administrator medications to inmates.
  • Supervise inmates: Maintain order and control within the detention facility, ensuring the safety and security of all inmates, staff, and visitors.
  • Monitor inmate activity: Monitor inmate health, observe and document inmate behavior, reporting any suspicious activity or potential security threats to supervisors.
  • Enforce facility policies and procedures: Ensure that all inmates comply with the rules and regulations of the detention center. Administer disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Respond to incidents: Respond to emergencies and disturbances within the facility, using de-escalation techniques and physical force only when necessary and as a last resort.
  • Maintain inmate records: Accurately document all inmate information, including intake and release dates, medical conditions, and disciplinary actions.

Must pass a background check.

Must pass a drug screening.
