Job Title: Front Desk Receptionist

Reports To: Director of Communications and Marketing

Position Purpose: Performs general reception tasks as directed, including, but not limited to, filing, switchboard operations, copy/fax center, lost and found, and reservations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Greet members and guests with a pleasant smile and warm greeting.
  2. Responsible for the switchboard, which includes controlling incoming, outgoing and operator assisted calls, taking and delivering messages to staff and members, when necessary.
  3. Assist the Catering Department in the creation of signs for meetings, events, etc.
  4. Responsible for recording all member reservations for regular dining, Club events and special parties; informing members of all pertinent information regarding their reservation or any changes in regular dining.
  5. Responsible for special reservation forms for Club functions.
  6. Handle member inquires and requests from reception desk.
  7. Responsible for recording and storing of all lost and found articles.
  8. Sort and distribute incoming mail.
  9. Perform general office work such as word processing and operating copy and fax machines.
  10. Responsible for coordinating tasks with frond desk staff.
  11. Responsible for reading and learning the Club’s Rules and Regulations and By-Laws.
  12. Responsible for reading monthly Woodmonter to be able to answer member’s questions regarding events and programs.
  13. Maintain supply inventory for front desk area.
  14. Provide schedule and other Club information to members, guests and staff.
  15. Work on special projects as assigned.
  16. Perform any and all other office tasks and other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience Qualifications:

  1. Must have knowledge of word processing application.
  2. Position requires professional appearance and telephone manner, high level of interpersonal skills, tact and diplomacy.
  3. Must have good command of the English language, oral and written.
  4. Must be able to work nights, holidays, and week-ends.
