Job Description

The Group Sales Manager will proactively identify and develop new accounts as well as provide total account management for existing business.

Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:

Account Management

  • Mange accounts utilizing Sales and Catering software system.
  • Retain, expand and grow account revenue of existing accounts.
  • Build, maintain and strengthen relationships with new and existing accounts.
  • Act as the account’s advocate.
  • Anticipate and identify business opportunities and challenges.

Lead Prospecting

  • Follow up on all leads provided by the Administrative Assistant.
  • Dedicate the majority of the work week to prospecting through various platforms; phone, email, etc.

Market Development

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
  • Understand the overall market dynamics – competitor’s strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, etc.

Basic Sales Tasks

  • Organizing group information by inputting data into Sales Catering system as well as creating proper reports.
  • Attend outside sales calls, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
  • Maintain industry memberships and attend seminars as well as social events related to such.
  • Develop a close working relationship with all departments to ensure the execution of strategies.
  • Conduct and coordinate site inspections as required.
  • Develop a complete knowledge of company sales policies and ensure the adherence of these policies.

Qualifications:

· Must have 2 years and more of hospitality (group /event) sales experience.

· Proficient in computers including but not limited to: Windows OS, Microsoft Office, etc.

· Travel 1-2 times (Trade shows, conventions, mostly in Tristate)
