Drill Press Operator

Drill Press Operator is responsible for safe and efficient production of quality parts by using tools for trimming, drilling and boring plastic molded parts to specification using processes and procedures as specified in a manufacturing environment.

• Follows instructions, documented processes, and training procedures to accurately produce parts that meet quality standards. • Follows training practices to manage quality while working with machines and equipment such as milling machines, punches, and hand drills. • Ensures compliance with Global Polymer safety practices by wearing PPE and following specific job hazard controls. • Verifies accuracy of parts using digital caliper to detect any flaws or defects. • Offers suggestions for productivity improvement and workflow processes. • Maintains quality and quantity output and is accountable for both. • Learns and demonstrates proper use of tools associated with trimming. • Maintains a clean work area. • Performs other duties as assigned.
