Job Description
Job Summary
The primary responsibilities of the Lead, Assembly is to assist the department supervisor in the efficient flow, tracking, quality, paperwork, and all related processes of the Assembly process to create quality products that will meet and exceed customer expectation! Our Lead, Assembly should be able to produce completed cabinets by assembling pre-machined parts and sub-assemblies according to pre-defined assembly patterns.
Responsibilities
- Support the CARE values of the organization.
- Commit to producing a quality product for our customers.
- Oversee the Assembly processes to make sure work meets quality standards and is performed according to established procedures.
- Perform bench-type processes to complete assemblies and sub-assemblies using hand, electronic, and pneumatic tools.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to department supervisor.
- Performs preventative maintenance on tools as required.
- Monitors the quality of parts and sub-assemblies being assembled.
- Work at a pace required to meet production goals while maintaining company quality standards.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of related experience, preferred
- Detail oriented
- Safety focused
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good analytical and time management skills
- Ability to utilize measuring tools and basic math skills
Working Relationship
Communication is required across all levels of the organization- executive team, other functional leaders, subordinates and production floor workers. The Lead, Assembly works under the immediate supervision of the Production Supervisor.
PPE
Safety glasses, hearing protection and safety shoes at all times while on the production floor.
