Job Description
Safety Manager - Utility-Scale Solar Construction

This position is responsible for the overall safety of all employees and contractors working on utility-scale solar construction projects. The Safety Manager will develop and implement safety plans, procedures, and training programs. They will also conduct safety inspections, investigate accidents, and ensure that all workers are in compliance with all applicable safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of solar construction, renewable construction, and power generation. They will also have a proven track record of safety management experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety plans, procedures, and training programs
  • Conduct safety inspections
  • Investigate accidents
  • Ensure that all workers are in compliance with all applicable safety regulations
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure a safe work environment
  • Represent the company in safety-related matters

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, engineering, or a related field, AND 5+ years construction safety experience in the solar or renewable energy industry
OR
  • 10+ years of construction safety experience in the solar or renewable energy industry
  • BCSP credential
  • Strong understanding of solar construction, renewable construction, and power generation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license
