Superintendent (Water/Wastewater)

WGK Construction is an established and rapidly growing company, run by two Principal Engineers with lengthy backgrounds in the Water/Wastewater industry. WGK is based in Northern Virginia, with our projects spanning across the Virginia region and we're looking for a Superintendent to join our team. To apply and be considered - please have a minimum of 5 years of Superintendent Experience in the Water/Wastewater Industry. You will need to be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site and determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers. This candidate should be experienced in communicating project milestones with clients and other parties, and be able to establish a timeline for completion.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience specifically in water/wastewater plant mechanical rehab/construction arena
• Ability to read design drawings for successful project implementation
• OSHA 30 within 90 days of employment
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operation of construction projects
• Ensures proper materials, tools, equipment, and labor are available for scheduled work
• Effectively coordinates various phases of work to ensure timely project deliverables
• Collaborates with the dedicated project manager to forecast upcoming construction phase requirements
• Drives and manages relationships with project managers, owners, architects, inspectors, and engineers to understand the scope of work and evaluate construction progress - Leads project changes, as needed
• Ensure safety, compliance and quality regulations are followed
• Communicate project progress with clients and project managers
• Manage labor crew, foreman and subcontractors and construction site organization
