Senior Systems Engineer - Multi-Discipline Approach to GEOINT

#ClearanceRequirement: Top Secret/SCI

Overview:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll lead engineering teams in a multi-discipline approach, encompassing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis across the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies to ensure timely and accurate Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT).

Duties:

  • Guide Mid-level and Junior-level system engineers in executing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis across the NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies.
  • Lead the planning and analysis/traceability of user requirements, architectures traceability, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review cloud service capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
  • Mentor Mid-level and Junior-level system engineers in developing solutions designs based on analysis of requirements and new technology.
  • Translate the Government's mission and customer requirements/needs into systems/capability requirements and solutions.
  • Support the analyses and allocation of requirements to systems architecture components and executing programs.
  • Perform systems integration activities.
  • Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
  • Assist the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.
  • Operate at the level of integrating multiple systems, services, processes, and interfaces within Major Systems Acquisitions across organizational and agency boundaries.

Required Skills:

  • Active Top Secret / SCI (TS/SCI) Security Clearance
  • Bachelor’s of Science degree, ideally in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific field such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience.
  • Senior-level or higher experience working in government or industry in relevant work areas including the Department of Defense (DoD) / Intelligence Community (IC) Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES) Process or systems engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments residing in cloud, on premise, or hybrid infrastructures.
  • Experience with and understanding of systems engineering lifecycle.

Desired Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific field such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools, and languages.
  • Working knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
  • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
  • Documented work experience in the field of geospatial intelligence.
  • Licensure as a professional engineer.
  • Membership or leadership participation in any of the following professional organizations: American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM); American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE); American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS); Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC); Society of American Remote Sensing Professionals (SAREM); United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF).
  • Demonstrated expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the current National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG)/ASG and National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) enterprises.
  • Previous National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and/or NSG/ASG program/project work experience.
  • Previous Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) program/project work experience.
