Receiving Clerk

Location: Shelby- Shelby Township, MI,United States (US)
Employment Status: Hourly Full-Time
Function: Distribution/Logistics

Basic Function: P erforming the required activities for receiving material into Fori Automation and performing the required activities for shipping items out of Fori Automation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily use of a fork truck and overhead crane.
• Loads and unloads trailers for shipments.
• Maintains clean and organized work area.
• Prepare, stage, and load packages to be shipped.
• Daily computer use. Emailing, scanning and printing documents, Typing
• Perform all required data entry for Shipping/Receiving functions.
• Train other employees as required.
• Knows and understands all necessary procedures for department.
• Follow-up with Purchasing to inform them of late shipments or irregular shipments that may require their attention.
• Must know how to use ERP system.
• Prepare any necessary paperwork relative to Shipping/Receiving activities.
• Verify shippers are correct to contents received.
• Verify blanket order PO inventory is being replenished appropriately.
• Inspect all incoming material for damage and proper quantity against shippers.
• Work with Purchasing and Accounting on return for credit shipments.
• Identify all incoming material.
• Perform all tasks as assigned by Department Supervisor or Manager.

Prerequisites:

Education: High School Diploma required

Experience:

• 1 year in material handling capacity.
• Must have a valid Michigan driver's license.
• Proficient in use of Computers such as Emailing, scanning and printing documents, Typing.
