Data Center Storage Engineer

Our partner is looking for candidates who would be on standby to respond to data storage center emergencies in different locations throughout the United States. They are asking candidates to be available at any moment to be onsite within 24 hours. We provide transportation, hotel accommodation, and food per diem as well. Project Details:Pay Rate: $52 - $58/hr – Depending on Experience Requirements: All positions require a successful completion of a background check & possible drug test (we do not check credit) - ABBTECH pays for both checks LOCATION: Sterling, VA JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS: Data Center Storage Engineer Skillsets:IDPA Data Domain Networker Avamar PPDM PowerMax PowerFlex Isilon Veeam Engineer, design, implement, upgrade, harden, and manage customer SAN/NAS environments. Troubleshooting storage and networking issues as it concerns storage. Gathering requirements and providing technical planning and documentation to meet future storage needs on a project by project basis. Provide for data backup, restoration and redundancy in line with customer requirements. Perform work on Cisco SAN Fabrics, Brocade SAN Fabrics, and EMC SAN/NAS storage technologies. 5 years storage experience. Experience with EMC storage solutions. Experience documenting technical solutions utilizing Microsoft Vizio. Understanding of NFS, iSCSI, CIFS, S3, and FC storage protocols. Manage customer SAN/NAS environments. Troubleshooting storage and networking issues as it concerns storage. Gathering requirements and providing technical planning and documentation to meet future storage needs on a project by project basis. Provide for data backup, restoration, and redundancy in line with customer requirements. Perform work on Cisco SAN Fabrics, Brocade SAN Fabrics, and EMC SAN/NAS storage technologies.
