Freight Coordinator

Job Overview

• The Backroom Coordinator works with the Store Manager to manage the backroom inventory and to prevent loss and protect assets at the back door.
• The Backroom Coordinator reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

• Ensure the backroom standards are maintained per our backroom standards
• Manage truck receiving according to the company Freight Flow Process
• Ensure all pallets are scanned into the BRI
• Prioritize RTA furniture for assembly based on our Brown Box Furniture SOP
• Ensure large items are moved to the floor safely
• Works with the Merchandising Lead to determine priorities for stocking
• Manage the process of returning items and products back to the warehouse
• Manage the BRI ensuring any product in the backroom is organized and clearly labelled
• Make sure the dock area is kept clean, free of water and up to company dock standards
• Ensure all OSHA safety guidelines are being followed in the back room including: * Safe Lifting * Forklift Safety * Baler Safety
• Works with AP to coordinate/verify forklift training
• Prevent loss in the backroom by following AP Backroom standards.
• Communicates all Asset Protection issues to Asset Protection in accordance with company standards
• Warehouse experience required

Salary Description

$15.00 per hour
