Greenbelt CDL OTR Driver

As a OTR Driver, you will be a valued team member who operate semi-truck with tankers for transportation of agricultural materials. Valid truck operator's permit required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE:

* Current driver's license with Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Airbrakes, HAZ-MAT, Tanker Endorsements

* 21 years or older

* High School Diploma or GED required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Six months or more of CDL driving work experience.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

* Promotes a positive corporate image to customers and coworkers by presenting a professional manner of conduct at all times. Drives tractor-trailer truck to scheduled destination for delivery of product.

* Inspects truck daily for defects before and after trips to assure units are in good mechanical condition, and submits report indicating truck condition.

* Ensures the unit is loaded legally, accurately and properly, and performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

* Operates the unit within DOT (391-397) guidelines, and when required, within HM-181 guidelines. This includes proper use of placards and abiding by DOT driving guidelines.

* Follows all safety policies and procedures, also utilizing energy conservation practices.

* Maintains ELD according to DOT regulations, and trip mileage and fuel reports accurately.

* Retains various bill of ladings and delivery tickets required for product or freight billing.

* Transports product in a timely, safe, accurate and professional manner.

* Uses appropriate PPE equipment during loading/unloading of hazardous products.

* Assists workers in loading and unloading truck as necessary.

* Keeps units neat in appearance, cleaning it at least weekly.

* TWIC Card beneficial.

* Other duties that may be assigned.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Operating a diesel-powered tractor trailer combination to transport and deliver products or materials in bulk form to company locations or business associates. You will regularly be required to sit; have dexterous use of both hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms and talk, hear or smell. The employee is often required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 75-pound boxes and/or bags. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Seasonal peaks in operations may require weekend work and/or long working hours per day. Extended overnight travel required. Other Personal Protection equipment may include but is not limited to: safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and work gloves. These physical requirements are necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
