The Senior Manager applies portfolio, program and project management experience and procurement knowledge to plan and execute on strategic multi-divisional programs with an emphasis on polymer extrusion. This role will collaborate with various Global Procurement direct material groups and various Medical Device Divisions with exposure to senior leadership. In addition, the Sr. Manager will support and influence different divisions and internal/external stakeholders to ensure engagement, alignment, and business readiness against a set of strategic business critical initiatives to mitigate risk and secure business continuity. This is a global role with stakeholders across various divisions.WHAT YOU’LL DOPROGRAM MANAGEMENT Facilitate program planning and program execution workshops creating various workstreams in alignment with the polymer extrusion category strategy and other key categories within PPSUse metrics and data visualization effectively to report portfolio performance and support decision-making at the team or organizational levelSupport the business readiness for the extrusion category across various divisionsDrive the adoption and readiness of key category initiatives within PPS and affected Abbott divisions. Work with SMEs, Category Managers, and the Global Market Intelligence team to influence and educate stakeholders on technology solutions, process improvements and organizational readiness to mitigate business riskSupport the development of KPIs across sub-workstreams and enable the metrics and reporting.  Stellar problem-solving skills, proven ability to structure sophisticated problems, develop robust solutions with little guidance, and craft high quality, detail-oriented project plans and deliverables. Possesses the ‘science’ of delivery - strong rigor in planning and managing to business objective, scope, schedule, and budget.  Balances technical skill with the ‘art’ of knowing the guardrails, critical path, and top priorities to guide multiple workstreams.STRATEGIC THINKINGInfluence the business and translate business strategy from a supply chain and procurement perspective to ensure implementations of key projects impacting polymer extrusion category strategy are completed successfully.  Being able to effectively communicate the value proposition.Champions change and encourages innovation.
