General Statement of DutiesThis employee performs professional medical work relating to the evaluation and treatment of newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. Performs related duties as required.Minimum Qualifications (KSAs)(Illustrative only. Any one position may not require all of the listed KSAs nor do the listed examples include all the KSAs which may be required.)Knowledge of:Sexually transmitted diseases.Skill to:Operate appropriate computer equipment; use properly all related hardware and software.Operate assigned vehicle in the course of duty.Ability to:Implement and maintain positive employee relations.Promote and maintain highest integrity throughout all personnel.Analyze and manage effective EEO/AA programs.Develop quality assurance standards.Serve on hospital committees.Maintain mutually beneficial professional relationships with surrounding health service providers  and hospitals.Maintain medical and other clinical records as required by Health Department rules and  regulations.Diagnose and manage sexually transmitted diseases.Take a complete history.Perform a complete physical including pelvic exam and rectal as necessary.Order and interpret appropriate tests.Make appropriate diagnosis.Design and monitor treatment plans.Make appropriate referrals.Interpret immunization records.Manage life threatening emergencies.Perform venipuncture incision and drainage of superficial abscess and other common office  procedures.Required Education and ExperienceEach applicant must be Licensed by the State of Ohio as a Medical Doctor or Osteopathic Doctor and must be Board eligible at the time of hire. Must obtain Board certification within five (5) years of appointment as a Public Health Pediatrician. Failure to do so will result in termination. Must retain licensure. OTHER REQUIREMENTSMust have a valid Ohio Driver's License.Must be an excellent communicator and team builder.Working and Physical ConditionsExamples of Work Performed(Illustrative only.
