Next Generation Spectacles are our first pair of glasses that bring augmented reality to life. We're looking for a Software Engineer to join the Snap Lab team!What you’ll do:Lead and contribute to the design, architecture and implementation of software in both prototype and shipping consumer products Conduct design reviews and code review with peers and stakeholders to create reliable solutionsTriage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues Design and develop SW for Spectacle’s OS Application Framework for AR devicesCollaborate with Design, Product, and Engineering teams distributed across multiple officesKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to craft scalable solutions in a resource constraint environment with due considerations for memory, power, thermal tradeoffsExcellent analytical, programming and debugging skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teamsHands on experience developing camera software stackMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of experience7+ years of industry experience developing solutions for resource constrained devices Proficient in Java or Kotlin and  C++/CExpert level knowledge of modern Operating Systems and application frameworks built on Linux/Android technologiesPreferred Qualifications:Advanced degree in a relevant field such as computer science or electrical engineeringExperience with Typescript and JavascriptExperience designing and developing real-time interactive experiences"Default Together" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
