Join us and let’s get started.The Water Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager for our Columbus, Ohio office.The qualified candidate should have in-depth experience in the analysis and design of water/wastewater treatment facilities, collection systems, and conveyance, as well as experience in project management and client relationships. This role offers an exciting opportunity to focus on client business growth, project delivery leadership and mentoring of developing engineering staff by leveraging top notch regional and national water/wastewater engineering expertise and capabilities to expand AECOM’s Ohio area business. The appropriately qualified applicant will have the opportunity to manage and work with an established team of professional engineers on a variety of water, wastewater, and storm water design projects.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Working with senior members of our Water Business Line team to seek new municipal business opportunitiesManaging projects, including scoping, task management, invoicing and final closeout.Planning, scheduling, conducting/coordinating detailed phases of engineering work of a major project, or several small-moderate scope projectsSupervising and mentoring junior staffOverseeing the planning and design of various project elements, the preparation of project reports, hydraulic models, calculations, drawings, construction plans and specifications, permitting packages, and documents for inclusion in the final project deliverablesCoordination with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectivesQualificationsMinimum Requirements:BA/BS and 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationPreferred Qualifications:10+ years of related experiencePE license in the state of Ohio or ability to obtain within 6 months of hireExperience working on municipal projectsExperience and familiarity with the following programs is preferred: ArcGIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, SWMM, and/or Storm/Sewer/WaterCADExperience working with local clients in the Ohio region is a plus.Proven interpersonal skills, including client interaction, public speaking and persuasive ability; strong project financial management along with ability to lead diverse, multi-disciplined teams.Additional InformationOffered rate of compensation (Ohio locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
