**We are currently hiring for:**

**Job Title Shag Driver (Transfer Driver) - 2nd Shift**

**Job Summary:** The Shag Driver (Transfer Driver) position is responsible for spotting trailers in and out of the shipping dock area for loading and unloading of product. The Shag Driver (Transfer Driver) is also responsible for operating equipment in a safe manner.

**Primary Responsibilities**

* Operate semi-tractor trailer to spot trailers as needed into the shipping dock area.

* Ensure product is safely secured on trailer.

* Checking vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.

* Maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.

* Maintaining logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.

* Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.

* Operate equipment in a safe manner.

* Other duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements**

* Must have a Class A CDL and be able to maintain this certification/license.

* Previous experience is required. Minimum of 3 years of tractor-trailer experience is preferred.

* Must have and maintain good driving record.

* Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

* Must be able to work extended hours and weekends if needed.

* Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.

* Candidates must successfully pass DOT post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen and physical.
