Responsibilities: We're looking for an exceptional Nursing Manager to join our combined Surgical Cardiac Progressive Care and Neuroscience unit at our downtown Fresno campus! This 47-bed unit, cares for various cardiac surgical and neuro comorbidities, including post-open heart, Left Ventricular Assist Device, Pulmonary Hypertension trauma, epilepsy, brain tumors, spinal injury and more! You will be a proactive leader with exceptional communication skills who pays meticulous attention to detail, fostering teamwork and collaboration. From overseeing unit operations, to staffing and coordinating quality improvement, to implementing and assessing care, you will be essential in ensuring an outstanding level of care.

As the region's flagship hospital, this USCF academic-affiliated facility is home to the only Level I Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke and Comprehensive Burn Center between Los Angeles and Sacramento - serving as the area's "safety net provider" and covering nine counties. We are the only health system with the expertise and cutting-edge technology to handle the most challenging, complex cases in the Central Valley. This means you will have the opportunity to partner with skilled cardiac and neuro surgeons and specialized hospitalists and lead a close-knit and dedicated team that includes nurses, Patient Care Technicians (PCT) and Unit Clerks!

Qualifications: Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
  • Demonstrated expertise in the service area and leadership ability required
  • 3 years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting required
  • Previous leadership experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting required


Licenses and Certifications
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
