The candidate provides support, explanations, re-teaching and discipline to ensure success for all students. Candidate must have an A.A. Degree or Equivalent testing for full time status. Substitute's do not need to have a college degree.

An Education Assistant will work under the supervision of a professional service provider (Special Education Teacher) to directly or indirectly assist and support in the provision of services to students with disabilities. The role and assignments of an Educational Assistant (EA) are not defined by a particular student, setting or program, but rather by students' needs as determined by the IEP. The EA may work on an individual basis with students requiring close supervision and special assistance.
Potential candidates must have an A.A. Degree or Equivalent testing for full-time status. Substitutes are not required to have a college degree.
Starting pay is based on years of experience and education.
Education Assistants are eligible for:
- Paid time off after 60 consecutive days.
- Holiday pay is earned after 1 year.
- A longevity bonus is offered by the school starting after your 2nd year of employment.
