Position Summary:

Performs a variety of moderately complex and highly complex tests on patients of all ages as defined by CMS-2226-F:  42 CFR 493 Medicare, Medicaid, and CLIA programs, Interpretive Guidelines for Laboratories, Appendix C, and Subpart M.  Applies principles, theories and techniques according to Laboratory Practices and Procedures to produce accurate test results in Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Microbiology and Urinalysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Medical Technology, MLS or related science including at least 12 months in a hospital training program or near completion of program; or otherwise qualified as a medical technologist as defined by Federal and State Regulations.  Currently registered with American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or eligible for registry.  Successful Completion of registering within 12 months of employment. BLS/CPR within 6 months of employment
